Bodywork for Every Body
Our services provide pain relief, relaxation, and improved well-being through massage in Northeast Portland, Oregon. We allow people better access to their body. We give them the education and skills to manage their health through consent based touch with clear communication.
Detailed bodywork that listens to your nervous system intentionally and offers education around anatomical structures for client empowerment.
An anti-oppression, community based lens of healthcare and healing.
We strive to provide care to all caregivers and advocates experiencing stress and pain in these challenging times.
Everybody’s Bodywork is located inside the wellness business, Cosmos Collective. They are down four steps on the basement floor of a blue house. The entrance way is on the corner of Sandy blvd + 67th street in the Northeast of Portland. Feel free to email with any questions!

The massage table can be made wider for people who need room to fully release. The sheets + blankets are longer for all bodies. We also have multiple kinds of shoulder bolsters so people laying face down are comfy! The client chair is wide with no arms.

As a queer trans person, I understand that gender + sexuality are fluid. We are allowed to change as time shapes us. My intakes reflect that. Please fill out your lived name + gender, not how the government sees you. If you’re paying with insurance there is a space already reserved for your legal name and sex. For this session and our relationship, I want to know your name and your gender according to you.
I also enjoy working with gender affirming surgery scars! Let’s make sure you heal joyously!

This is a BIG question! And an excellent question. There is currently no standardized way to practice trauma informed massage in Oregon.
I was trained to be a sexual assault + domesticate assault advocate in Washington state. And I approach bodywork with these tools.
Some key things I do:
I keep one hand on the client as much as possible so your nervous system always knows were I am.
I don’t use close hand techniques so you never feel like you are being grabbed.
My sessions are a constant dialogue of consent.
I don’t unnecessarily uncover parts of the body when I know it can be just as effective draped.
Being fully clothed is Welcome!
And more.

For me, fat positive is the practice of knowing that your body weight isn’t the source of your pain or point of issue. Fat positive is accommodating all bodies of all sizes so they feel safe and cared for.
Body neutral is combating toxic positivity AND individualistic blame culture. Sometimes we are frustrated by our bodies. Sometimes they are really hard to be in. Meeting those emotions with positivity can be invalidating. What if instead we simply recognized that bodies are neutral? They aren’t inherently wonderful nor are they evil. Let’s just meet you where you are where ever that is today!

This is a fantastic question! Maybe it will, and maybe it won’t. The process of elimination is very effective. Maybe acupuncture or physical therapy would be more effective. We won’t know until we try!
Therapeutic relationships have never been needed more than right now!
This is an incredibly challenging time to be alive. You deserve community that is trained to prioritize your emotions and your needs. Community that can hold your pain. Let’s give you the tools, support, + validation to move pain free. You don’t have to go through this alone!

Sure do! There is a Service Industry Discount for food service workers + SWers.
I worked in food service for 15 years. I am a massage therapist because of food service. The people who take care of us endure harsh conditions, poor wages, and crippling pain. It’s thankless manual labor that is brutal on the body. I choose to honor them and hope this will give people the option to get the care they need + deserve.

Yes! We are still requiring masks! Many of our clients are immunocompromised and/or disabled. This space is safe for all bodies wherever they are at!
The pandemic taught me a lot! It taught me that healthcare should be masked so everyone is safe! Everyone deserves care. We don’t know where people are at currently, but let’s make sure they can get the relief they deserve no matter what!
Unfortunately, Cosmos Collective is an unmasked space and you will be in contact with other people who don’t have masks on briefly.
