Each massage will be customized to suit your needs whether it’s general relaxation or focused work. Modalities that can be blended into your session are: neuromuscular, trigger point work, deep tissue, Swedish relaxation, stagnant silicone cupping, dancing silicone cupping, Himalayan hot stone, and Gua Sha.

Services Offered:

Neuromuscular: Is a series of techniques using the bodies proprioception (fibers in the muscles that tell the body where it is in space) to reclaim safe pain free movement. All movements are controlled entirely by the client with clear neutral language.

Trigger Point Work: Through use, abuse, or reuse the body can develop “trigger points” that refer pain throughout the body. Using safe and controlled steady pressure these points can eventually dissolve and stop radiating pain.

Swedish Relaxation: Regulating the nervous system has never been more important. Swedish Massage focuses on decreasing carried stress in the body through long soothing strokes to improve quality of life, sleep, digestion, and get the body our of “fight, flight, freeze”.

Gua Sha: Based on Traditional Chinese Medicine, gua sha is taking a soft tool to break up adhesions and tight muscles. Similar to cupping, blood flow is increased to the affected area to help stimulate the bodies natural healing capabilities. It is somewhat rigorous but very efficient and cost effective for long term benefit. The intensity is completely in the control of the client at all times.

Stagnant Silicone Cupping: A new take on ancient Traditional Chinese Medicine. Cups are placed on the clients point of focus and suction is created. Cupping cultivates much needed blood flow to the area and through suction separates stuck tissue. Using Silicone is easy to sterilize and less potentially dangerous than fire cupping with glass cups. Silicone cups are very easy to dial in the suction with the clients complete control. The stagnation allows the body to focus on a specific spot to cultivate healing.

Dancing Silicone Cupping: A lovely, less intense, form of cupping that applies gentle suction to a specific area and the cups are glided to increase circulation and release tension. A great introduction to cupping!

Himalayan Hot Stone: In cold rainy weather, using hot stones to melt away stiff hard tissues can be very relaxing and cost effective. Hot stones are glided down the body to warm up muscles and make other techniques used easier to integrate.

Deep Tissue: This is not synonymous with deep pressure but in fact is the slow implementation of specific maneuvers such as pinning the fibers and while stretching the muscle belly.
